Trixon 1/700 Bop-Snare in wmp with metal brass shell | 13" x 3" | 1950s | extreme rare Trixon drum!!!

These Bongos are very unusual and perhaps not original made by Trixon. The wooden shell is without any covering.
Never seen Trixon Bongos made of real wood!
Also the connection between the shells is unusual for Trixon.
The sizes of the shell are regular Trixon: 20,5 cm x 16,5 cm & 16cm x 14,5 cm

A few years after I found the floor tom I get this snare drum. I am sure all is original and it belongs together!

Another unique Trixon drum:
A Floor Tom 16" x 16" but with a finish I have never seen on Trixon drums or in a catalogue. First I thought it was a cheap dc-fix-foil to cover faded original finish - but no, it is a real thick drum covering. And if you notice the edges and holes and so on you can be sure it is professionell made. So why not made by Trixon in the early 70s?
Has anyone the other drums of this set?

Here we have a very rare finish of the late 60s, early 70s
which appeared only in the Action Line Catalog of 1967!

A very interesting project wat to build up the
Trixon/VOX drum setup the fabulous Buddy Rich played in 1967!

At the right you see Karl-Heinz Weimer, head of Trixon.

On March 29th 1967 Buddy Rich visited the Trixon plant in Hamburg-Reinbek to inspect his set, specially combined for him. On this day he flew in from London between two concerts.

Buddy Rich, who played several other brands before (Slingerland, WFL/Ludwig, and Rogers) could be recruited as an endorser for Trixon for about half a year in 1967.
His set was prepared as a VOX-set.
Buddy Rich got a 22" bass drum, 13" rack tom, 2 x 16" stand toms and a 14"x 5" snare drum.

Let's make a journey from the early 70s back in the late 40s.

Think about the design of my car (I had it from 2000 to 2010) and the speedfire bassdrum ... The car isn't by TRIXON, it's a Citroen DS 21! The DS and the Speedfire set are from the same period ending 60's and beginning 70's. The time I started making music. 2000 was the year I realised two fantastic dreams, as you see.
The beginning of an unusual passion ...

Ok, this is a finish to love or hate, but it is so unique and rare - I love it! Many thanks to Peter Seidel to purchase bass drum and tom to me!!!

I'm very happy to get these drums from Markus for a fair price. But it was a lot of work to put the drums in this condition you see it now!

The finish is one of the rare! Unfortunately the tom holders and floor tom legs have been completed rebuilt to Premier. The resonant head of the bass drum with the letterin Trixon Cortina Combi comes from Italy.

Very popular in England in the 1960's!
I am proud of this drums: The finish is very rare and the square lugs have the black plastic bases. They were used for only 2 years in 1963/64. And I have the matching snare drum!

New, rectangular lugs, yet with black plastic gaskets, color blue stripes, midel Luxus 0/200: This is the typical Trixon set in England in the 1960's. Even Alan Ganley has played such a set like this!

Here's another highlight! This Telstar set is a very early one. Only the very early had 6 lugs at the bottom of snare and rack tom.

Hi-hat quick-clutch: By lifting the outer metal case three metal balls inside are released that otherwise grip into a nick of the pull-rod. Thus the top cymbal is fixed to or released from the rod.

	In May 2011 at our holidays in Hungary we met Attila Ronai and I traded a snare drum shell with him. Back home I built up this snare matching to my red stripes set!

I bought these drums in the USA in 2005.
